The spacecraft class system was implemented by Polus Corporation in order to increase the productivity of cluster development. Thanks to the division of spaceships into classes, each researcher can focus on performing their specific task.
In the Polus game, spaceship classes mainly affect their exterior and base stats.
Transporter class ships perform the function of transporting resources.
The main stat is resource capacity.
Resource
Has higher resource capacity compared to the ships of different classes.
Attacker class ships have two main functions: defense and attack.
The main stat is weaponry.
Scout
These ships are highly effective at finding resources and reconnaissance by taking advantage of increased speed and detection.
Armored
Balanced armor allows to withstand most hits. Has average speed and weaponry.
Heavy Armored
Thanks to the strong armor, they are able to withstand massive attacks from other ships. However, the high armor is compensated by a rather low flight speed.
Locator class ships have an improved radar reconnaissance system on board.
Main stat is Detection.
Locators have an improved version of the standard radar, which shows the nearest ships in a larger radius. Locators can also see the closest sources of resources, which are indicated by the corresponding colors:
X-Range
Player and resource detection - 1000 parsecs
K-Range
Player and resource detection - 500 parsecs
Corvettes are renowned for their cheap service. Great for short-range reconnaissance missions.
Scout
Taking advantage of the increased speed, they perform extremely effective at scouting the terrain and finding resources.
Armored
The upgraded Scout has stronger weaponry and protection, while maintaining high speed.
